KODA Enterprises Group through its portfolio company V-Tek International acquires A & J Programming

KODA Enterprises Group announced today the acquisition of A & J Programming located in San Jose, California. A & J is a leading supplier of programed chips to a variety of industries. A & J specializes in quick turn programming and taping services, taking customers propriety data and programming the blank ICs, making the chips functional for the customer specific application.
A & J was founded in 1983 by Jim and Annette Howell in response to the growing demand for programming services to the emerging chip-based economy in and around San Jose. Mr. Howell will remain as Director of Operations of the company. A & J will remain a stand-alone operation with only certain back-office functions merging with V-TEK. “Simply put, we take dumb chips and turn them in to smart chips,” said Jim Howell. “We are fortunate to have the who’s who of the industry as our customers, including several Tier 1 defense and security OEMs in addition to every level of contract manufacturers.” continued Mr. Howell.
